This isn’t just tigers obviously but I think it’s amazing how even though they aren’t the same species they recognise each other as a part of the cat family and play as they would with their own kin! So cute

i begin this post by asking you to examine the designs of all the gems we’ve seen so far (sans steven, a half-human)

note one major similarity between all these gems: they have no visible ears

i realize this is only a small sampling of the gems so far seen, but i got lazy. just trust me. none of them have ears.

now, in the return, jasper makes mention of a “yellow diamond”, obviously a higher-up on gemworld. someone who has a lot of power. this someone, could (and probably would), hypothetically, have more knowledge of earth than anyone may know–including jasper and other homeworld gems.

my theory is as follows: we’ve already seen yellow diamond. in fact, they’ve been here all along.

who are they, you ask?

think to yourself. dig deep. who is it that has no regard for rules, or human life? who seems just too strong to be human? who is it that has no ears?

that’s right. yellow diamond, the series’ antagonist, is onion.

Do you hate the way Baby Boomers talk about you? Well, I want you to remember something:

The Baby Boomers were also the generation of the Hippies. And the so-called Greatest Generation said the exact same things about the Baby Boomers as the Baby Boomers say about Millennials.

The exact same things. The only thing missing was the word “selfie”.

Hippies/Baby Boomers were called lazy and entitled. They were called selfish and self-important. They were treated as if they didn’t know how to work or show proper respect for their elders and everybody thought that they wanted some sort of special treatment. The Baby Boomers were perceived as this group who thought everything was all about them. If you asked the Baby Boomer Hippies, at the time, they’d say they were just exploring sexuality and fighting racism and trying to do away with the old ways because the old ways weren’t working. They fought and they protested and they were passionate.

Then, to borrow a phrase from The Dark Knight, “you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain.” That’s what happened to the Baby Boomers. But, there’s a third option.

Remember.

Remember what this feels like. Remember what it’s like to be in your teens and twenties. Remember that it’s not easy. Remember everything the past generation says about you.

Because there will come a day when the Millennials are in their 30s and 40s and 50s. Where the President and Congress will all be Millennials. Where you will be the establishment. You will be in charge.

And there will be people of your generation, your age group, who will look at the Post-Millennials and say “Look at how selfish and disrespectful they are! What is wrong with their music? What is wrong with their hair? They can’t be separated from their technology for one second, can they?! People in my generation knew how to work hard! They weren’t lazy and entitled like these kids are!”

It will happen. Don’t let it.

Fight it. Fight for yourselves now but, when you’re older, fight for the next generation.

Break the cycle.

If you hate the way you’re treated by the older generation and the media, then remember that and don’t do it to the ones who come after you.

Okay, but what professor was such an asshole that they wouldn’t let a woman in labor do a makeup exam? You know someone said some shit and she felt like she HAD to do that exam, labor or no.

OK true story from one of my professors:

She got pregnant while getting her PhD. Not planned, but it would work out that she would do her lit review (where she had a massive list of books she had to spend two hours talking about) a month before her baby was due. Plenty of time, right?

Well, her daughter came a month early. On the day that she scheduled her lit review. So she’s in labor with a baby that’s four weeks early, she calls up her male professors that are going to be doing her lit review, and they say that squeezing a human being out of your vagina isn’t a good enough reason to cancel. She can’t reschedule, they’ll just fail her. And my professor will have none of that. They agree to have the lit review at the hospital, but they kick out all nurses and doctors because you can’t have anyone else in the room. (like the nurses are really going to be secret undercover English professors who will whisper to her answers about Virginia Woolf). So for two hours while my professor was in labor, these male professors are hounding her about early 20th century British literature and the nurses are just about losing it and as soon as it’s finish they rush back in to make sure everything is okay. And the best part of it is that my professor was so focused, so determined to pass and not let her 5 years of work end in a failure, that she says she didn’t feel any pain for those two hours. WHILE IN LABOR.

Fucking men. Seriously.

These are definitely amazing women but these situations shouldn’t even have happened. It’s so misogynist how inhospitable higher ed is to mothers. Whereas fathers don’t suffer anywhere near these consequences for having children while in school.
